EL AL kindly requests your attention regarding the following update, which comes into effect today, May 21, 2025.

Passengers with Lite tickets on EL AL flights to and from Europe and the United Arab Emirates will be allowed to bring one personal item into the cabin, which must be placed under the seat in front of them.

Passengers will be invited to check their hand luggage (up to 8 kg) at no additional cost. This bag will be placed in the aircraft hold.

This adjustment is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance comfort and streamline the boarding experience for all passengers.

Members of the Matmid Frequent Flyer Program with Silver status or above,  will continue to enjoy the benefit of bringing one piece of hand luggage (up to 8 kg) into the cabin, subject to space availability in the overhead compartment.

Please share this update with your customers at the time of booking and before departure.

Remind them to carry all essential items—such as medications, passports, travel documents, valuables, and anything they may need during the flight—in their personal item on board.
